SLE TRAINING 2018 – Apply now!
Still open for applications: SLE TRAINING courses in October and November 2018

There are still placements available for our SLE TRAINING 2018 courses in October and November.

Join us for Training of Trainers: 08 - 19 October 2018 and improve and extend your training and facilitation skills. By the end of the course, you will have a good knowledge on how to design, prepare, organize, conduct and evaluate training sessions. You will be able to translate specific training needs into appropriate training objectives and practical training activities and you will have practiced participatory techniques and methods for all phases of training events, building your individually tailored training toolkit. Trainer: Gesa Grundmann

Join us for Rural Transformation: 22 - 26 October 2018 to gain a new perspective on rural development. After the course, you will be able to analyse Structural and Rural Transformation processes systematically, to assess them with due consideration of development policy objectives and to contribute to policies and strategies for effective promotion and shaping of Strucutral and Rural Transformation processes in a socially inclusive and ecologically sustainable manner. Trainer: Dr. Theo Rauch

Join us for Conflict Management and Conflict Transformation: 26 November - 07 December 2018 if you need a sound understanding of the phenomenon of conflict, which will be explored on the personal and interpersonal level, as well as on the level of large groups and societies. Development projects are not only affected by conflict, but also run the risk of aggravating existing conflicts in a particular region or even triggering new conflicts. By the end of the course you will be familiar with the principles of conflict management and conflict transformation. You will have substantially broadened your horizon on the issue of conflict and applied tools to understand its mechanisms and work with it in a non-violent way. Trainer: Dirk Sprenger

Our short intensive courses promote learning through experience: 'Learning by doing' is the most important aspect of the SLE's training and teaching philosophy. Case studies, roleplaying, teamwork and many other methods create a learning environment in which participants can bring their own experience and link it to new topics and applications. While there is no application deadline, there are only a limited number of places available in each course and they are filling up soon.

Tuition fees
    5-day training course: 725,- euros
    10-day training course: 1450,- euros
