In these challenging and uncertain times, we would like to express our solidarity with all of you. We encourage you to take all the necessary measures to stay safe and take care of yourselves and one another. CONCORD Europe is taking proactive measures to protect the health and well-being of our staff, members, partners and the communities affected by the crisis. We will continue to follow the guidelines in Belgium to deliver our work in the most effective and safest possible way. We have closed our Brussels office and our secretariat is working from home until 5 April unless a further announcement is made. During this time, all meetings and events organised by CONCORD are cancelled. Despite these measures, we are confident that we can keep things running during this difficult and uncertain time. We are extremely concerned about the impact of the outbreak, both in terms of everyone's well-being and the ripple effect on our sector more broadly. Please know that if you are struggling with isolation, frustration, or limited resources, you are not alone and you have our support. Let us know how this situation is impacting your own work: what difficulties, pressures and adjustments have you and your team faced? We will continue monitoring the situation closely and clarifying key issues, which are vital to the continued delivery of our ongoing commitments. To this end, we have written a letter to Director-General Koen Doens and Director-General Christian Danielsson on the challenges currently faced by our members in implementing DEVCO/NEAR projects due to the spread of COVID-19. Please contact us if you have any further questions or concerns. We hope that you are finding new ways to stay connected and hopeful. We would like to wish you, your colleagues and loved ones good health. Stay safe.
